Birthday Wish List - Gift Ideas for YOU and friends!

My birthday is soon, and I have a few things I've really been wanting! I decided to turn this into a blog post just incase you guys would like to see some items you might be interested in buying for yourself as well, or maybe something something to buy a friend if their birthday is coming up too! Betty Lipstick by M.A.C. in Betty Bright

This is the final item I want from the Archie's Girls collection at M.A.C., I tried it on in the shop and it's absolutely gorgeous. I know I am always taking about this collection but it really is a special one!

Bath & Body Works Candles

There is a new really spring/summer esque theme going on in the Bath & Body Works shops, they have tons of amazing new candle scents. I went in and found so many I wanted! My three favourite scent were "Pink Sangria", "Coconut Leaves" and "Palm Beach Cooler". Candles always make a great gift.

Faux Patent Leather Combat Boots

I own a pair of floral Doc Martens, and I really wanted a black pair.. but they're super expensive! Here I found a black look alike pair for an amazing price. You can never go wrong with Docs!

Teen Vogue Subscription 

With this being my last year as a teenager, I thought I should probably subscribe to my favourite "teen" magazine. Maybe next year I'll have to switch to just Vogue... Anyways LOVE this magazine, it's got great style ideas in it and magazine subscriptions are the perfect gift.

Dave Grohl T-Shirt Dress

If you click the link it will take you to A LOT more cool T-Shirt celebrity print dresses like this. I think loose t-shirt dresses will be really in for the summer time, and there's no way that you won't be able to find a celebrity you like (or someone your buying for likes) from all the choices they have.

Lush Lacquer Neon Lights Nail Polish

These nail polish are home-made by a mother and daughter and they make the coolest colours and sparkles I have ever seen. This colour is my favourite, check out more in the Etsy store called "Lush Lacquer"!

I really just want to test everything from the Lush easter goodies line. Every single item! Everything smells wonderful and will get you in the spring time spirit.

I have wanted one of these alpaca plushies forever. To some it may seem silly but I need one of these cuties in my life! They come in a million different colours and specialties.

GLOSSYBOX February 2013 Canada

I was so impressed with this months box, I love every item in it! This month is the GLOSSYBOX birthday box! 

Since it's the birthday box they gave us a super cute black and neon pink box with a big bow on it, a neon pink ribbon and sticker, and the paper fluff inside the box is neon pink too! Adorable!

Here's a preview of what came inside this months box, as you can see it's bright and filled with new brands we haven't had before.. you can also see the cute birthday bonus we got, which is a GLOSSYBOX cupcake kit!

Anatomicals, You Need a Blooming Shower! in Rose and Jasmine - 150ml/$3.00

Though this product might not be very expensive, it smells AMAZING and has super cute packaging. I love trying new shower gels so this body cleanser is just perfect. Full size.

Macadamia Natural Oil, Healing Oil Treatment - 30ml/$13.50

This has such a good texture to it, and smells really nice. Everyone can use a hair oil and this kind is made for all types of hair. What I especially like about this product is it has added UV protection. It's not full size but oil like this lasts for ages.

Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips in Ultra - 6 strips/$9.99

Everyone can use some blackhead pore strips, I was really happy to receive these in my box, I haven't tried the Ultra kind before so I hope these work well! Full size.

Essence Quattro Eyeshadow - 5g/$3.99

Okay so maybe green isn't the most flattering eyeshadow colour.. but these have very good pigmentation and I'm sure I'll be able to work with it just fine.. I am excited to see what colours other Glossies got! Comment below and tell me or link me to your blog post/ video :) This product is full size as well.

Givenchy Gloss Interdit in No. 3 Coral Frenzy - 6ml/$30.00

I was most excited for this item! I know some of you will think it's a little small but seriously lipglosses last FOREVER and look at the price per ml on this baby! It's a gorgeous coral colour (my fave) and it's  a very high street brand.. super excited for this item.

Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy AND Eucerin Day & Night Anti-Wrinkle Cream

These were the extras I received in my box, hand cream in packets is always good for travel. I like trying out new anti-wrinkle brands even though I am still quite young!

Review: Tony Moly Egg, Blackhead Out Oil Gel

So I hadn't tried a Tony Moly product before, and when I finally decided to, I knew what one I would pick. I had read some good things about the Blackhead Oil Out Gel, and I am ALWAYS looking for a good blackhead remover. This egg is suppose to "tighten" and"melt" away dirt from your pores, what seems to be most specifically on your nose.

There are three other kinds of these Tony Moly eggs, which you can see in the photo below. I will be reviewing the white egg. 

I ordered the egg off eBay, it came in 15 days and I had won it on an auction. It cost me 10 dollars shipping included. You can find tons of these, usually in auction, on eBay. Here's what it looks like in the packaging.

The product has little yellow balls in it, smells citrus-esque, and is indeed quite an oil/gel texture. I applied and scrubbed it all over my nose, and then I let it sit for about ten minutes.

I really liked using this product, it did make my pores appear a lot less smaller, and seemed as if it removed my black heads. I think I will use this product a few times a week before I put my makeup on, on my nose. It makes your skin smooth and ready for makeup, with no visible pores. I don't think this is a miracle gel, but it definitely works better than anything else I have tried.

Review: Archie's Girls Pearlmatte Face Powder in "Veronica's Blush"

When this collection came out, I knew I had to buy at least one item (and hopefully more!).. it's SO cute, and I loved reading the Archie comics when I was little. I chose this item, to buy because it's close to Valentines Day, and the hearts caught my eye! It can be used on the cheeks, eyes, and as a highlighter. If you swirl your brush more centred on the red you'll get a gorgeous deep colour, with a pearly look. I've never had a check colour quite so cute before, and the mirror in it is an added bonus!

Here is a picture of the true colours of the blush, I didn't swatch it because the colours remain true to the photo.

Canadian GlossyBox - January 2013

So this months box was quite a mess, with some expired products, products already in past boxes, massive amounts of unneeded moisturizer, no glossy magazine, micro sized samples, and a lot of people even missing products from their boxes.

I gave everything in my box to my mum right away, I let her open it (since I had looked at spoilers already) and keep everything since she likes surprises and moisturizing products.

Today I'll show you the products I received in my box, I have been getting them since last April and this was by far the worst box ever.. I haven't actually ever complained about one until now!

Burt's Bees Naturally Moisturizing Milk & Honey Body Lotion

A good quality product, but not full size. It smells super nice and works well, though we have received a moisturizer in basically every box and it's becoming a bit much.

Nivea Essential Care Lip Balm

This is a pretty boring product, useful, but not luxury. It can be bought for 0.90cents at Wal-Mart.

Beauty So Clean Makeup Brush Wipes 

There wipes were in a previous box, and they're not very good to use on your brushes as they smell strongly of alcohol and will quickly deteriorate brushes, though I am sure it kills germs.

Wella Professional Leave-in Mousse for Coloured Hair

A full sized product. We have had so many Wella products I really would not like to receive anymore, I'd like to test out other brands as that is what GlossyBox is for. Besides that, the product works nicely, I don't ever use a mousse but I think I might try to use this sometimes in my wavy hair styles.

Two Faced Lip Plumper Sample

I love the Two Faced brand, it's one of my favourite brands to check out at Sephora and purchase from since their products are usually soooo cute. This is a pin sized sample, really just too small to even get three uses of so that is disappointing.

Be Fine Face Masks & Scrub Samples

This is a repeat product, though I don't mind having it again. Some people got different repeat products and this last item really varied from box to box. These face masks and scrubs you can get a few uses out of and I really enjoy that they're named and made out of food.

Valentines Day is super soon! I'll admit I used to think it was just a silly holiday and never much cared for it, but this year I feel so excited and I've loved walking around in the shops with all their decorations! If you haven't yet, to get in the spirit, I advise you do the same :)
